Westfield, NJ – Today, the Kean for Congress campaign announced the endorsements of two current and former Democrat elected officials.
“This campaign has been about bringing people together,” said Senator Kean. “The most efficient and effective way to overcome these difficult times is for us to put partisan politics aside and rally around the best solutions for New Jersey. I have a long record of reaching across the aisle and I am proud to be supported by Democrats across New Jersey.”
“We need a Congressman who is going to put his district before anything else,” said Stockton Mayor Tim Nemeth. “Tom Kean, Jr. has a track record of reaching across the aisle to get results for his constituents. That’s what I want to see more of in Washington.”
“I’m a lifelong Democrat, and I don’t have to change my party registration to support someone across the aisle who I can find common ground with. said former Westfield Councilman Tony LaPorta. “Tom Malinowski is a partisan protester who can’t get out of his own way. He’s fine with sitting on his hands, voting with Nancy Pelosi 97% of the time, and delivering nothing for us here in New Jersey. Tom Kean will get Congress working again for all of us.”
Tom Kean is the New Jersey Senate Republican Leader. His campaign for Congress in NJ-7 has been rated a “toss up” by Politico. He has been endorsed by the NJPBA, FMBA, US Chamber of Commerce, NFIB, BIPAC, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, and hundreds of local New Jersey elected and party officials.
